ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award for Sustained Excellence

Each year, the Environmental Protection Agency honors a group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. Appalachian Power has awarded the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for our year-over-year commitment to energy efficiency, recognizing our sustained commitments are essential to meeting the challenge of climate change and enabling a transition to a clean energy economy — in 2019, 2020, 2021. In 2023, ENERGY STAR has awarded Appalachian Power a Partner of the Year Award for Sustained Excellence, meaning the company has consistently earned Partner of the Year for several years in a row. Appalachian Power won the Partner of the Year Award for Sustained Excellence again in 2024.

ENERGY STAR® Market Leader Award

Appalachian Power is proud to have been awarded the ENERGY STAR Market Leader Award in 2022. Each year, the ENERGY STAR Residential New Construction program presents Market Leader Awards to outstanding partners who have made important contributions to energy-efficient construction and environmental protection by building or verifying an outstanding number of ENERGY STAR certified homes and apartments, or by sponsoring a local program that supported these activities during the previous year.

Excellence in ENERGY STAR® Marketing Award

Appalachian Power was awarded an ENERGY STAR Excellence in marketing award in 2022. This award is given to all ENERGY STAR Product, Commercial & Industrial, Homes, and Residential partners, including retailers, manufacturers, energy efficiency program sponsors, or other organizations, that planned and executed a successful ENERGY STAR energy-efficiency marketing effort.
